Greetings again from London!
Quite a full day. It began with me, Kay Whittington and Bob Wieters doing a great bus tour of the sites of London. I’ll have more on that coming up later on the website - a lot to edit with that, but very cool!
As for tonight, we just got back from “Festival New Orleans” at the London 02 Arena. You might remember it as the “Millenium Arena” London built for Y2K. It’s an amazing facility - hosts sporting events and performances - but also has lots of shops, places to eat, clubs, etc. We attended a private “by invitation only” party hosted by NFL On Location - those are the folks who put together this package that we’re enjoying so much. Highlights of the night included meeting former Saint Michael Lewis, who was signing autographs, meeting some of the “Saintsations” cheerleaders, and of course some more great food!
Got back to the hotel just before Midnight just in time to see LSU go down in flames. Think they miss Bo Pelini? There are too many stud athletes on that defense to be that bad… but I digress!
I have a couple more hours of editing in front of me - I’m hoping to watch the World Series as I do that - although a 1am start time for The Series is pretty wierd!
As for tomorrow, it’s a 2pm bus ride to Wembley Stadium for a Mardi Gras-style tailgate party and then the game kicks off at 5pm locally. Can’t wait!
