It was really a dog day afternoon at the Nevada state fair in Reno Sunday.
Dashing dachshunds and high flying hounds competed in the fair’s sixth annual wiener dog race championships.
The pint size pooches were trying to be the first to scoot to the finish line to be declared the “wiener.”
The grand champion was a little guy names “Skinner”, who beat out all the other 125 entrees to be named this year’s top dog.
