A routine traffic stop by BPSO deputies on Friday, 15 August, yielded a fugitive wanted out of Missouri for violating probation. Arrested was Steven Lavigne, Age 46, 39650 Gayle Rd.,Ponchatuala, La. Investigating Officers were Deputies Derek Smith and Joey Goodwin.
A separate stop on Friday resulted in the arrest of Benjamin Eiswirth, Age 45, 14311 Nuccio Rd., Tickfaw, La. for driving under suspension. Eiswirth was also cited for passing in a no passing zone. Deputy Derek Smith investigated.
After being arrested on Saturday, 16 August by Beauregard Trooper Scott Farris for DWI, Billy Nance, Age 42, 728 Churchman Rd. was arrested at BPSO jail by Deputy Joey Goodwin on a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear.
As of this writing, all three remain in jail.
Also arrested over the weekend was Sara Smith, Age: 26, 2865 Glendale Rd., DeRidder, and Adrian Smith, Age 31, 906 W.M. Harrison St.,Leesville, both were arrested for Disturbing the Peace following an altercation that took place on Wingate Rd. on Sunday August 17th. Adrian Smith was released after posting $500 bond. Sara Smith remains in jail.
