Lafayette Police are investigating a report of a police impersonator who attempted a traffic stop on a woman.
Cpl. Paul Mouton said the incident occurred about 9:25 p.m. Monday. Police say the man was driving a blue Ford F-150 truck with a white stripe down the side. Mouton said the 23-year-old victim reported that the man attempted to stop her vehicle through verbal commands and gestures.
He said no lights or sirens were used and the man never showed any identification nor was he dressed in an officer’s uniform.
