Cenla business executive Roy O. Martin III and daughter, Laura, were chosen to be the King and Queen of the Washington D.C. Mardi Gras ball in January. They were chosen by U.S. Representative Rodney Alexander, who is chairman of this year’s ball.
Martin and his daughter, a college student, have already begun preparing their royal trappings. They’ve visited vendors and suppliers that will be part of the preparations and have visited the site of the ball.
This year’s theme is ‘Sunshine on the Delta.” It will be held January 31st at the Hilton in Washington, D.C.
