Vice President Dick Cheney will help northwestern Louisiana congressional candidate John Fleming raise money for his race against Democrat Paul Carmouche.
Cheney will be guest of honor at a fundraiser for Fleming on Friday. Fleming and Carmouche are the major candidates on the Dec. 6 ballot for the 4th Congressional District seat now held by Jim McCrery. McCrery is not seeking re-election. Fleming is a Minden physician. Carmouche is a former Caddo Parish District Attorney.
Fleming’s Friday morning, invitation-only event will be held at a private residence in Shreveport.
