From the City of Pineville:
The City of Pineville will again be distributing bottled water, and ice (as available) on Friday morning, beginning at 10:00, on the parking lot of Furniture World. This process will continue as long as supplies last.
A SPECIAL thank you to Plasti-Pak Packaging for another truck load of bottled water, to Sen. Joe McPherson for two trucks of ice, and the Louisiana National Guard for more supplies to meet the needs of residents of North Rapides.
We must also thank Furniture Word on Highway 28 East, who suffered damage to their roof from Gustav and has let us use their parking lot for this distribution center.
Our water well status is improving, while we are still working on power to our lift stations to improve sewer service. We hope to have an update on the boil advisory soon.
NOTE: Rich DuPree reports all 10 City wells are now working.
