The last two games of the aces season are being played out of town in Amarillo. General manager Chet Carey says that united league baseball has to do what’s best for the league.
This is the third year of the return of the aces. According to averages provided by Carey attendance has gone from about 1800 per game in 2006 to 1200 this year.
Low attendance was the reason that the league decided to move the first round of playoff games from Alexandria to San Angelo. I asked Carey about the possibility that this is the last season for the aces.
The Aces have been a part of United League Baseball since 2006. Teams are not affiliated with a major league team.
