The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has Issued A Tornado Warning for:
Western Avoyelles Parish in Central Louisiana, this Includes, Moreauville, Marksville, Effie, Bunkie, Extreme North Central Evangeline Parish in Central Louisiana, Eastern Rapides Parish in Central Louisiana this Includes, Pineville, Cheneyville, Alexandria
* Until 800pm CST
* At 730pm CST, National Weather Service Radar indicated A Line of severe Thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado Along A Line from Cheneyville to Cottonport, or Along a Line from Cheneyville to 6mi Southwest of Moreauville moving North at 32 MPH.
* tornado producing Storms will be Near Mansura by 740pm CST Marksville by 750pm CST Effie, Pineville and 6mi East of Alexandria by 800pm CST
The Safest Place to be During a tornado is in a Small Interior Room. Get Under a Workbench or Other Piece of Sturdy Furniture, Seek Shelter on the Lowest Floor of the Building in an Interior Hallway Or
Room Such As a Closet. Use Blankets or Pillows to Cover your Body And Always Stay Away from Windows.
if in Mobile Homes or Vehicles, Evacuate Them and Get Inside A Substantial Shelter. if No Shelter is Available, Lie Flat in The Nearest Ditch or Other Low Spot and Cover your Head with your Hands.
A tornado watch Remains in effect Until 1000pm CST Friday Evening for Southwestern Louisiana.
