The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has Issued A Tornado Warning for:
West Central Rapides Parish in Central Louisiana, this includes Hineston, East Central Vernon Parish in West Central Louisiana

* Until 745pm CST

* At 715pm CST, National Weather Service Radar indicated A Line of severe Thunderstorms capable of producing a tornado Along A Line from 8mi Southwest of Hineston to 14mi Southeast of Hineston, or Along a Line from 8mi Southwest of Hineston to Glenmora, moving Northwest at 33 MPH.

* tornado producing Storms will be Near Hineston by 740pm CST

The Safest Place to be During a tornado is in a Small Interior Room. Get Under a Workbench or Other Piece of Sturdy Furniture, Seek Shelter on the Lowest Floor of the Building in an Interior Hallway Or
Room Such As a Closet. Use Blankets or Pillows to Cover your Body And Always Stay Away from Windows.

If in Mobile Homes or Vehicles, Evacuate Them and Get Inside A Substantial Shelter. if No Shelter is Available, Lie Flat in The Nearest Ditch or Other Low Spot and Cover your Head with your Hands.

A tornado watch Remains in effect Until 1000pm CST Friday Evening for Southwestern Louisiana.
