The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has Issued A Tornado Warning for:
Northwestern Avoyelles Parish in Central Louisiana, Northeastern Rapides Parish in Central Louisiana, this includes Pineville
* Until 830pm CST
* At 754pm CST, National Weather Service Radar indicated A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 11mi Southeast of Pineville, or About 6mi Northwest of Effie moving Northwest at 44 MPH.
* The tornado will be Near Pineville by 810pm CST, Ball by 815pm CST
The Safest Place to be During a tornado is in a Small Interior Room. Get Under a Workbench or Other Piece of Sturdy Furniture, Seek Shelter on the Lowest Floor of the Building in an Interior Hallway Or
Room Such As a Closet. Use Blankets or Pillows to Cover your Body And Always Stay Away from Windows.
If in Mobile Homes or Vehicles, Evacuate Them and Get Inside A Substantial Shelter. if No Shelter is Available, Lie Flat in The Nearest Ditch or Other Low Spot and Cover your Head with your Hands.
A tornado watch Remains in effect Until 1000am CST Saturday Morning for Southwestern Louisiana and Southeast Texas.
