Thursday was the Annual Great American Smoke-Out day, and a smoke-free block party was held in Downtown Alexandria because of it. Sponsored by the Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco Free Living, Region VI Tobacco Prevention, and Tipitina’s Music Co-op, the event was free to the public. It featured live music from local musicians, free health information and free gumbo. Here are the highlights from the event.
