Suspected Alexandria Crack House Raided

On October 10, 2008 detectives assigned to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 2916 5th street in Alexandria, LA. Detectives conducted surveillance on the residence after receiving numerous complaints of drug sales. The doors to the residence were fortified, and the property was protected by surveillance cameras. Detectives found four handguns. Two were reported stolen, and two were being carried concealed by a convicted felon. Detectives located crack cocaine, marijuana and promethazine syrup inside the residence. Eight people were arrested in the investigation.
