RAYVILLE, La. (AP) - Rayville is down to one water well.
But Mayor Harry Lewis said it will be able to meet demand until
a second well, which stopped working Monday, is repaired.
Lewis said the well is expected to be repaired by Saturday.
The repair will cost at least $15,000.
Lewis said Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality
officials have tested the water being supplied by the lone
operational well and deemed it safe to drink.
He said water pressure is holding steady at around 62 percent,
slightly lower than the normal 65 percent to 67 percent.
