Rapides Regional Medical Center will be sending its 2009 “Seasons Greetings” with the help of this year’s Holiday Art Contest winners.
The annual contest is open to the children of RRMC employees and the students at our Partners in Education school, Phoenix Magnet Elementary. Participants were asked to design a piece of artwork with a holiday theme.
Winners receive $100, $75 and $50 gift cards for first, second and third place, respectively.
Brooke Morgan, 15, was the first place winner from the employee-submitted entries.
Brooke attends Pineville High School and her mother Rosalie Morgan works part time as a nurse in ICU.
Her “Seasons Greetings” ink drawing included three holiday ornaments and incorporated the RRMC logo.
Mary Paige Hudnall, 6, was the first place winner from the Phoenix Magnet entries.
Her crayon drawing features a smiling Santa Claus wishing everyone a “Merry Christmas.”
Other winners include: Kasey Morgan (2nd, employee entries); Nathan Bejsovec (3rd, employee entries); Emily Williams (2nd, Phoenix entries) and Hannah Rodgers (3rd, Phoenix entries).
The first place artwork was used in designing RRMC’s two 2009 holiday greeting cards.
Prizes will be presented to the Phoenix winners at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18 during the school’s holiday assembly.
