Rapides Parish Library Bookmark Winners

Congratulations to the following OLPS students who placed in the Rapides Parish Library’s annual bookmark contest; “Catch a Book”: 

Kindergarten-2nd place – Reid Briley

1st grade–2nd place – Abby Long

3rd grade-1st place – Lauren Jewell

4th grade-2nd place – Leah Kirkikis

5th grade-1st place & grand prize winner in Upper Elementary division – Mitchell Montanio

6th grade-1st place – Paige Kelley

The contest is held each year to promote library use, reading among children, and cooperation between schools and the public library.

The children will be honored at a special awards ceremony at the Main Library on November 15, 2008.
