Natchitoches parish deputies are investigating what appears to be an accidental gun shot which resulted in the death of a four year old Natchitoches child.
Deputies responded to the Iron Springs Community Tuesday, and found four-year old Alexander Morrison had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Morrison was in the care of his grandmother. Apparently the child found a handgun in the kitchen area and discharged it.
Morrison was airlifted to Shreveport and later died at the hospital.
No charges have been filed so far.
