More than 20 patients filter through the Pediatric Specialty Clinic at Rapides Women’s and Children’s Hospital each month on MDA Clinic day. For those patients, the clinic offers a variety of necessary medical services.
This MDA Clinic is one of 225 hospital-affiliated clinics where MDA offers quality medical care from doctors, nurses and therapists experienced in dealing with neuromuscular diseases. This is the largest MDA clinic in the state.
Before the MDA Clinic, patients were going to New Orleans, Monroe and Shreveport. Now, they can stay close to home and still receive quality medical care.
