A Palm City, Florida family is asking for help finding their missing Siberian Lynx.

Simba, a 50 pound Siberian Lynx, disappeared over the weekend.

The 7-year-old endangered wildcat has lived with the Love family almost her entire life.

She sleeps with Tina and Nikki in bed in their home in Palm City.

“She loves to cuddle. She’s just like us,” said Tina.

Tina, a mother of five, left Simba in her screened-in back porch to eat her breakfast of raw chicken.

When Tina came out again an hour later, Simba was gone.

Tina says she woke her children up and they haven’t stopped searching since.

If she is lost, on her own, Tina Love worries Simba could be in danger.

She says she has no claws and doesn’t know how to defend herself.

“She’s never killed anything. I don’t think she’s capable of knowing how to kill something and eat it. Maybe her animal instincts would kick in but its not her personality,” Tina said.

Tina’s not sure if her Lynx ran away, saying it would be the first time.

That leads her to think that Simba may have been stolen.

“She’s not the type of cat to wander and that’s what scares me,” she said.

She’s filed a police report and continues searching the woods and her neighborhood for her pet she claims could easily be confused for a bobcat.

The family is now offering a reward for Simba’s safe return.
