BATON ROUGE - The LSU Emergency Operations Center is continuing to monitor Tropical Storm Gustav closely. All classes and events on Friday, Aug. 29, will proceed as scheduled. The campus is closed on Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day. Any decisions about canceling classes or campus events on Tuesday or beyond will be announced no later than 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29.
Any updates related to the storm will be posted to the LSU Web site, http://www.lsu.edu; recorded on the LSU emergency hotline, 225-578-4636 or 1-800-516-6444 (toll free); and made through the local and campus media.
