Courtney Hornsby from the City of Natchitoches stopped by to tell us about Celebration on the Cane, Natchitoches’ Independence Day celebration on Saturday, July 4 . The fireworks will take place at approximately 9 p.m. Saturday on the southern end of the downtown riverbank over Cane River Lake. Live musical entertainment will take place on the Fleur de Lis Stage from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. provided by Kim Brasso and LA Boogie, followed by a patriotic light and sound show on Church Street Bridge and finally, a spectacular fireworks show over Cane River Lake.
Celebration on the Cane is free to the public. Activities will take place on the downtown riverbank from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. including the Cane River Green Market, musical entertainment, food vendors, contests, children’s activities and much more.
