Alexandria police are on the scene of a fatal accident on Hudson St.
It happened just before 9 pm. Officers say it appears a vehicle was traveling down Hudson at a very high rate of speed, drove through the barricades blocking road construction, and hit a back hoe splitting the vehicle in two. The passenger of the vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and killed.
Right now, no names are being released pending notification of family. Stay tuned to News Channel 5 and kalb.com for more information as it becomes available.
