THE PAVILLION AT INDIAN CREEK IS A SCENIC PLACE TO SPEND THE 4TH, BUT THIS ISN’T JUST ANY OLD BARBEQUE.  EVERY OTHER YEAR CLASSMATES FROM 1952 TO 1976—GRADUATES OF CARTER C RAYMOND HIGH SCHOOL COME TOGETHER FOR A WEEKEND LONG CELEBRATION.  IT STARTS WITH A PICNIC, THEN THERE’S A DANCE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AND A MEMORIAL SERVICE ON SUNDAY MORNING TO REMEMBER THE CLASSMATES WHO COULDN’T MAKE IT THIS YEAR.

Everyone looks the same?

No, not really.  there are some who are on walking canes, some are bent over, but facially they’re still the same and everyone has so much fun (laughs) we all enjoy it so much.

ROSA JONES AND HER HUSBAND ORGANIZED THE FIRST OF THESE REUNIONS BACK IN 1982.  SHE ROUNDED EVERYONE UP AND PUT TOGETHER THE FESTIVITIES.  AND IT’S NO SURPRISE SHE LIKES GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR A PARTY.
