A U.S. District Court grand jury has indicted the security guard who claimed she was attacked while working at LSU but later admitted she had stabbed herself.

The Advocate of Baton Rouge reports that 47-year-old Dale Marine Noel was indicted Thursday on one count of making a false statement to a federal investigator. The indictment says the charge stems from an incident on Nov. 14, when Noel told a special agent of the FBI she had been attacked by a Middle Eastern man who allegedly said, I hate Americans.

U.S. Attorney David Dugas said the FBI was called because of statements Noel made to LSU Police during their interview having to do with a person of Middle Eastern descent making threatening comments.
