It started over a pool table and ended with punches and bullets flying.  The Alexandria Police Dept. reports that two men got into an altercation at the Bayview Yacht Club last Thursday night, New Years Eve.  They were fighting about whose turn it was to play—according to police.  One of the guys took a hit in the face, then the other pulled a gun and fired what he called a warning shot.  53 year old Craig Barr is being charged with one count of aggravated assault, one count of illegally carrying a firearm, one count of discharging that firearm, one count for resisting arrest and one count for possesion of drug paraphernalia.  Barr had pipes and cleaning supplies in his vehicle.  No word if the other man involved is facing any charges, he told police he was walking away from the situation and struck Mr. Barr to defend himself when Barr got up in *his* face.

Also from New Years Eve: An Alexandria teen says he was robbed at knife point by a black female wearing a pink bandana, a flowered shirt and blue jeans.  The suspect looked to be in her 30s or 40s. According to the report she stole the teenager’s bike, but he got it back from her a few streets away.  It seems she wasn’t done with him though because thats when she brandished the weapon and took 200 dollars from the boy.  She got away in a brown truck being driven by a black male accomplice.

A woman was on fire for a few moments on Paris street, luckily she wasn’t seriously injured.  24 year old Samantha Brown tells APD a Ford F150 passed by and the men inside threw a firecrack at her.  No arrests have been made.  That incident happened on Jan. 1st.
