Comedian and actor Andy Dick will be spending lots of time in Lafayette soon. He’ll be in the city for the filming of Division III, a sports comedy with a $2 million budget that will be filmed entirely in Lafayette.
Dick, writer-director Marshall Cook and Blaine McManus of the Lafayette-based Maxim Entertainment production company outlined plans for the film at a news conference Wednesday at the City Club of Lafayette. Production could begin in October.
Dick said he may also become a resident. He said he finds Lafayette quieter and prettier than New Orleans and Shreveport, where he’s done movies. The comedian said he has even started looking at houses in Lafayette.
