Beautiful afternoons and cool mornings stayed with us all week but as the weekend approaches, rain returns to the forecast. We have one more pleasant day on Thursday then clouds move in on Friday. The reason why…high pressure moves east of us and the southerly winds will kick back in. That will provide more moisture just ahead of a surface low that is expected to move northeastward out of the Gulf. Rain will rotate around that low and spread rain our way between Friday night and Saturday morning. The low should be east of us by Saturday afternoon and dry air on the western side of the low will clear skies quickly. Nice weather returns briefly before a cold front moves through during the Monday-Wednesday time frame. Computer models show this front could be quite strong. We’ll have to wait and see how that pans out.
