We’ve had all the sun we can handle with the exception of Monday when a front moved through. After the skies cleared, we are back to enjoying the sunshine and breezy winds. While we’re basking in the sun, our friends off to the east are enduring Ida and the heavy rain it brought ashore. So far there hasn’t been any major reports of damage or injuries as the storm moves very slowly east. Ida moved onshore as a tropical storm near Mobile at about 5:40 Tuesday morning with wind speeds of about 40 mph. The heavy rain was displaced very far to the north, affecting northern Alabama and Georgia the most. For us, Ida actually drew in some dry air on the western side of the storm and lessened our rain chances. Now we don’t have any more chances of rain until later in the weekend. Until then we’ll have high pressure and light northerly winds, keeping it comfortable and clear.
