GRAND CANE, La. (AP) - Authorities say a natural gas well
blowout in DeSoto parish has injured at least four workers.
    DeSoto sheriff’s deputies tell The Times of Shreveport that
homes near the well on George Hunt Road and northward to the
intersection of La. Highway 3015 near Grand Cane are being
evacuated.
    Authorities report that at least one “walking wounded” crew
member was able to get to the DeSoto EMS ambulance. Three others,
with at least one described as seriously injured with a femur
fracture, are in the woods behind the well site.
