Renee Allen
Anchor/Reporter JambalayaRenee comes to Alexandria by way of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She now calls Louisiana her southern home. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and attended Bossier Parish Community College.
Renee entered the broadcast industry with a job in radio as a Disc Jockey for KDKS in Shreveport. In 1999 she made a career breaking move into television by joining the news team of KLAX here in Alexandria.
In April 2002, she joined the award winning news gathering team where she anchors the popular morning show “Jambalaya” she also serves as a general assignment reporter.
When she is not working, Renee enjoys music, reading and taking care of those unable to care for themselves. She believes life is a bowl full of opportunities for everyone to partake.
